Brazilian retreading equipment manufacturer, Lukatec, celebrated its ninth participation at Pneushow event with the launch of a new innovation for the retreading sector, a new tyre building machine, which features circular technology for flat treads.

“Pneushow 2022 was a huge success. Of course, it was the most impacted edition and Circular Technology for Flat Treads, not only for Lukatec, but for the industry as a whole in terms of visitation and new business. The launch of VITRU360 marked the highlight of the event, generating much repercussion and being one of the most talked about topics during the fair,” commented Eduardo Engbrecht, director of Lukatec.
According to Engbrecht, the main themes in this edition of Pneushow were technology and innovation in tire retreading. “The advances developed for this market bring numerous benefits to retreaders, with more efficiency and productivity, greater quality control and a more reliable retreaded tyre,” he noted. Engbrecht added that Lukatec’s history has always been marked by pioneering and leading technology for tyre retreading, with novelties such as Rasparobô, Roitread and i4 offering the best in robotics, modular concepts, equipment interconnection, automation and process customisation.
With automation, constant stretching, perfect centring and quality in the finish, the VITRU360 provides standardisation in the application of pre-cured tread bands as well as ergonomics and safety for operators. “For the first time flat treads will have tyre retreading technology applied through circular expanders. In addition, the VITRU360 follows Lukatec’s modular concept and so our customers can configure the equipment according to their needs”, added Engbrecht.
