KRAIBURG Austria have announced that with effect from 1st of April 2021, Thorsten Schmidt, the long-standing CEO of the company, is, after 36 years of continuous employment, leaving the operative company executive to enter into the passive phase of his semi-retirement.
Changes at the Helm of KRAIBURG Austria
During his career, the 63-year-old has filled several leading positions in Production, Technical Service and Sales. He was appointed CEO at KRAIBURG Austria in 2012.
Schmidt’s successor and the new CEO of KRAIBURG Austria is Stefan Mayrhofer. He will be supported by the previous authorised representative Erwin Hitzginger as deputy CEO.
After posts at Semperit Technical Products and Palfinger, Mayrhofer joined KRAIBURG in 2009 where he initially managed the business with new tyre manufacturers. The company appointed him deputy CEO in 2012.
“I am convinced that, under the new leadership, KRAIBURG Austria will stay a strong and major company in the markets in which they are active and will continue to develop successfully,” said Thorsten Schmidt. “I wish my successor Stefan Mayrhofer great success together with that portion of luck that is sometimes necessary to achieve ambitious goals.”
