Brazilian retreader FM Pneus has announced that it has recently acquired two tyre retreaders based in the state of Santa Catarina – Tyresblue, based in Gaspar and Warmor Renovadora de Pneus from Itajaí.
Expansion for FM Pneus
Alongside the acquisitions, FM Pneus has installed its sixth industrial plant in Gaspar, centralising the production of the two acquisitions and expanding its operations in the Itajaí valley, in the north and coast of Santa Catarina.
FM Pneus, which in addition to retreading, sells new tyres covering the truck, industrial, agri, forestry and OTR sectors, is the largest retreader of the Vipal Network in the country and has industrial plants in Santa Catarina, Paraná and São Paulo, also serving Rio Grande do Sul and Mato Grosso do Sul.
It currently transforms more than 300 tons of rubber into retreads each month, generating benefits for the environment with savings of more than 1.3 million litres of oil per month.
According to CEO Eduardo Maldaner, in addition to the two acquisitions, during 2021 FM Pneus has continued to invest heavily in improving the quality, technology and production capacity of its other five plants and is getting ready to announce two more new industrial plants (the seventh and eighth) soon.
