FM Pneus, Brazil’s leading tyre retreading company, has expanded its operations in Rio Grande do Sul through the acquisition of M2 Pneus.
Expanding and Modernising
This strategic move includes the addition of a new facility in Gravataí. M2 Pneus, a significant player in the region, operated across the metropolitan area of Porto Alegre, Serra, South, Midwest, Rio Pardo Valley, Taquari Valley, and the South Coast of Santa Catarina. Following the acquisition, these operations will now be under the FM Pneus brand. The acquisition also includes the Truck Centres in Lajeado, Caxias do Sul, and Içara, Santa Catarina.
FM Pneus plans to invest in expanding and modernising the industrial park to ensure top-quality tyre retreading services. The company will also broaden its product and service offerings to include a comprehensive range of new tyres and retreads for agricultural, OTR (off-the-road), industrial, and forestry applications.
This marks FM Pneus’ third acquisition in less than a year. At the end of 2023, the company acquired the tyre retreading operations of Umuarama Diesel in Umuarama, Paraná, and in January of this year, it incorporated Bogo Pneus’ operations in Jaraguá do Sul, Santa Catarina.
With these strategic acquisitions, FM Pneus continues to strengthen its position in the Brazilian tyre retreading market, symbolising a commitment to growth and quality service delivery.
