The fifth AZuR Network Partnership Meeting took place recently at the Synthos Group Facility on the Dow Chemicals Industrial Complex in Schkopau, Germany.
Increased Attedance from Retreading and Recycling Sector
Synthos, a major synthetic rubber manufacturer and member of the AZuR Network, used the event to present its innovative range of resource-saving synthetic rubbers that make an important contribution to sustainable tyre production.
The event demonstrated the continued growth of the AZuR Network, attracting 90 delegates from across multiple sectors, including retreaders and tyre collectors as well as from industry and academic institutions.
Highlights of the event included an exclusive tour of the whole industrial complex in Schkopau, a keynote speech by Dr Felix Carl Schultz on the subject of the Circular Economy as a Growth Strategy, and a series of 5 breakout “World Café” sessions dealing with a variety of Circular Economy-related topics including a session on the future of retreading.
The next AZuR Partner Meeting will take place in September at the headquarters of trailer manufacturer, Krone.
