The 29th Edition of Autopromotec is fast approaching, with the theme continuing to be what trends the automotive equipment and aftermarket products segment offer and how it will characterise the future of the industry.
Technology, Innovation and Automotive Aftermarket Developments to be Expected at Autopromotec
Returning to the in-person format after cancellations due to the pandemic, Bologna will once again be home to a large international showcase of specific products and services for each market segment between 25-28th May 2022.
Over 1,300 companies in an exhibition area of 141,000 square metres, have chosen Autopromotec to showcase their products and services. There’s a strong European presence, although 42 countries in total will come to Autopromotec. This includes 180 delegates from over 35 countries. B2B meetings with Italian exhibitors currently stand at 800, topping the previous Autopromotec.
There will be 15 halls at the Bologna exhibition centre, bringing together all the sub-sectors of the aftermarket industry. Companies will be grouped by product category to allow visitors to make personalised itineraries according to their specific interests. The entire spare parts, components and car service sector, which has seen a sudden increase in activity, will be operational in halls 14, 16, 18 and 21. Equipment for tyre servicing and repair, workshops and lifting can be found in halls 19 and 29. Part of halls 28 and 29 will also be dedicated to lubricants. Hall 30 is dedicated to diagnostic equipment, while hall 26 and part of hall 29 will focus on bodywork equipment and products. Companies in the new and retreaded tyres and wheel rims sector can be found in hall 20; tools, compressors and multi-purpose equipment can be found in hall 36, while equipment and products for service stations, car washes and car care are available in hall 25. The exhibition is completed with 6 outdoor demonstration areas, where equipment for roadside assistance can be found.
As well as a look into the automotive aftermarket, Autopromotec will be looking to the future by analysing and comparing the trends that characterise the sector, from a technological and professional point of view. This includes through detailed product overviews and workshops and conferences.
The FUTURMOTIVE Experience – Talks – Startups, in collaboration with ICE Agenzia is one of the tools to help guide the visitor through the event and analyse the disruptive trends that characterise the mobility supply chain. This includes the sector’s transition towards ecological sustainability, the digitisation of all aspects of the system and the new economic models that are emerging.
The process is in 3 formats, which include the FUTURMOTIVE Experience, which is an immersive installation that utilises technology to offer a sensorial experience. FUTURMOTIVE Talks encompasses the range of international conferences and workshops scheduled, while FUTURMOTIVE Startups looks to innovation in the sector. In collaboration with the Motor Valley Fest of Modena, several start-ups present their innovative proposals that fit into the flow of the automotive aftermarket sector. The dedicated area is located in Hall 22 where there is also a connected terminal allowing exhibitors to establish a direct relationship with start-ups based in Modena, in addition to those already present in the dedicated area at the fair.
For this year’s edition, there is now an Autopromotec application that will give visitors attending all the information needed to make the most of the event in Bologna.
