Speakers Confirmed for Future of Retreading and Recycling Conference

Future of Retreading Conference

Speakers have now been confirmed for the 2025 Future of Retreading and Recycling Conference, which will take place at 14.00 pm on Thursday 22 May, during the Autopromotec Exhibition in Bologna, Italy. The conference, which is free to attend, will be located in the Gallery Area between Halls 1 and 2 at the Bologna Fairground and will be hosted by Retreading Business Publisher, David Wilson.

Anticipation for Future of Retreading and Recycling Conference Building

Following a welcome address by AIRP President, Stefano Carloni, the conference will commence with a retreading panel consisting of key executives from the retreading sector including Vittorio Marangoni (Marangoni), Stefan Mayrhofer (Kraiburg Austria), Frederico Schmidt (Vipal Rubber) and Michael Schwaemmlein (BIPAVER), who will discuss topical subjects relevant to the European and global tyre retreading sectors.

The panel discussion will be followed by Michael Schwaemmlein from BIPAVER, who will give an EU legislative update.

The second speakers Anna-Maria Guth from Germany’s AZuR Network, will outline the growth of the Network, the impact it is having in Germany and beyond, focusing on the need to promote a Circular Economy and the role of retreading in that structure.

Advice on how to improve the efficiency of retread plants is always of interest to the sector. With that in Mind Flavia and Giampaolo Malatesta from MIG srl will be offering valuable best practice tips with regards to envelope application.

They will be followed by Giuseppina Carnimeo, the CEO of Italian EPR Agency, Ecopneus, who will talk about EPR schemes and their role in sustainable tyre recycling with a focus on Ecopneus and its results/activities.

Last but not least, Arthur Wagner from French tyre sorting technology experts REGOM, will talk about the company’s latest developments including the use of RFID in the handling of End-of-Life-Tyres.

The Conference concludes at 17.00 pm and is followed by a welcome cocktail and the 2025 Recircle Awards ceremony.
