REMA TIP TOP has transformed adhesive systems production at its Poing headquarters near Munich, implementing new, innovative processes and technologies to reduce energy consumption significantly.
Enhanced Energy Efficiency for REMA TIP TOP Operations
A global provider of systems and services in conveyor and processing technology and tyre repair, REMA TIP TOP has been manufacturing bonding systems and solutions at its Poing facility for over 50 years. The recent comprehensive modernisation marks a strategic move towards decarbonisation and increased efficiency.
Adopting advanced production processes will reduce the carbon footprint and energy consumption associated with manufacturing adhesive systems and solutions. Claudia Niemann, REMA TIP TOP’s global head of production and technology, emphasised the company’s commitment: “By modernising our infrastructure and processes, we are setting the course for greater sustainability and efficiency in our product manufacturing.”
Decarbonisation and the drive for energy efficiency are being achieved through a range of improvements, including a fully automated filling system, energy-efficient motors, and the adoption of modern production technologies. Additionally, the company has eliminated energy-intensive mixing processes in internal mixers and rolling mills while increasing process automation. Reflecting these advancements, REMA TIP TOP has also updated its product packaging to match the new, modern production standards.
Through this investment in the Poing site, REMA TIP TOP reinforces the sustainability and long-term quality of its “Made in Germany” products. “This optimisation, driven by innovative technology and automation, will ensure we continue to meet the high demands of our customers into the future,” added Niemann.
