Vipal has strengthened its European subsidiary’s technical and commercial team by appointing Enrico Centi as the new Commercial Consultant for the Italian market. With over 40 years of experience, Centi brings extensive expertise in tyre retreading, processes, and machinery to the role.
Enrico Centi: A Seasoned Expert in Tyre Retreading
Born in Rome, Centi’s journey in the tyre industry began at ten, influenced by his father, a tyre salesman. “I first felt the smell of rubber when I was ten years old with my father,” recalls Centi, who has dedicated 43 years to the tyre retreading segment since starting his career in 1979. “Now, it’s a new beginning. I am very proud to become part of the Vipal family, an important multinational company in the sector,” he says.
Enhancing Vipal’s Market Strategy
Frederico Schmidt, General Manager for Vipal in Europe, emphasises Centi’s well-established reputation in Italy. “He joins our team to help us create a new identity for the Vipal brand in the Italian market and add even more value to the company’s ability to offer a full solution for tyre retreading, combining quality and a wide range of products and services, which makes us a benchmark in this segment of activity,” Schmidt notes.
Centi’s responsibilities will include supporting, analysing, and developing relationships with new customers in Italy. He will be a crucial link between the commercial and technical teams, the fleet, and Vipal’s comprehensive portfolio of products and machines. “Our next steps together are towards developing an innovative and efficient business model, capable of delivering to retreaders everything they need to develop their activities,” announces Gilson Dugno, International Sales Manager at Vipal.
Future Prospects for Vipal in Europe
Schmidt outlines Vipal’s strategic vision to replicate the new business model created for the Italian market. “We plan to go further, and we believe that, very soon, we will have other news to announce to the market,” he highlights.
Currently, Italy is the third largest market for Vipal’s operations in Europe. “Our expectation for the future is to continue increasing our share in Italy, which is one of the most important markets on the continent. We aim to provide our esteemed customers with comprehensive and quality service, along with the best business solutions for everyone,” states Fabricio Nedeff, Commercial Manager for Vipal in Europe.
With the addition of Enrico Centi, Vipal is well-positioned to enhance its market presence and continue its legacy of providing high-quality solutions in the tyre-retreading industry.
