Brenno Benaglia, the well-known and esteemed figure in the Italian and international retreading industry, passed away on February 24th after a short illness.
We say Goodbye to a Wonderful Member of the Retread Community
Born in Bologna in 1952, Benaglia began working in his family’s retreading company before joining the Marangoni Group in 1978 as Sales Director of Renova Reifen based in Feltre. In 1991, he moved to the Rovereto office as commercial director of Marangoni Pneumatici, a position he held until 2017, the year of his retirement.
Awarded the Star of Merit for Work by the President of the Republic in 2009, during his career, Benaglia was vice-president of AIRP – Italian Association of Tyre Retreaders, vice-president and then President of Bipaver, the European Association of Retreaders. He was also present on various boards of directors and executive committees, corporate within the Marangoni Group and associations.
After retirement, Brenno Benaglia joined the Non-Profit Manager network as a volunteer, offering his consultancy work to third-sector organisations, and became an AIRP consultant for technical and regulatory aspects: a role he supported with great passion that he has always had for the world of retreading.
All of Brenno’s colleagues at Marangoni and AIRP regret the loss of a person who has long been admired and well-liked for his outstanding professionalism, transparency and kindness.
