Vipal have continued to expand their rapidly growing equipment division with the launch of a new cushion gum extruder during this year’s Pneushow held in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Vipal has expanded its equipment division by introducing a new Cushion Gum Extruder
The new machine, called Orbicushion, is available in three versions, VOC560, VOC760 and VOC1160 Cargo. Aimed at different sizes of retreader with different budgets, these three versions of the machine offer production at the rates of 26, 30 and 36 tyres per hour respectively.
The Orbicushion guarantees the optimum application of cushion gum in the least possible time, and features a touch screen interface as well as latest generation automisation components in order to help reduce the consumption of rubber, improve consistency and precision and reduce processing time.
According to Vipal, the company’s new equipment division is looking to fulfil specific needs in the market and is looking for obvious gaps in the market. The company is also looking to create very strong and robust machines.
Six months ago Vipal also introduced the VOT2200 Heavy Duty Orbitread machine for OTR and agricultural tyres. Important here is that unlike other machines on the market, this machine has been conceived and manufactured in Brazil, which makes for more advantageous financing options for Brazilian companies.
The first machines for Vipal’s machinery division were the VR01 Smart Uno and Duo buffing machines, which were launched at the Pneusshow two years ago. Buffers are already installed in some of the larger retreaders in Brazil as well as others in South America such as Recomer in Uruguay.
This move into equipment is a major development for Vipal and reflects the trend for the two main players in the Brazilian market to attempt to provide a comprehensive machinery and tread rubber offering. The trend reflects the need in the region for better service and access to the best in retreading technology.
