For the third consecutive year, Vipal Rubber was one of the highlights at WasteExpo, a trade show held from May 7-9 in Las Vegas, United States.
Vipal Shows New Designs at WasteExpo
During the three-day event, Vipal’s booth received customers, partners and managers from many companies interested in getting to know and purchasing the company’s new technologies, including VM540 tread, a new development from the brand at the trade show, as well as the VT200 and VZY2 designs.
Among the visitors to Vipal’s booth at the trade show were representatives from retreaders, including Vipal White’s Tire, in North Carolina (USA), Llanco, from the city of Monterrey (Mexico), Ultimate Tire from Kingston (Jamaica), Techno Pneu from Rimouski (Canada), Tire Solutions from Clearwater, in Minnesota (USA) and the Paramount tyre dealer in California (USA), MAVS Tires.
“This was the third year in a row that we attended WasteExpo, which lets us be closer to our customers and partners in the region, in addition to presenting Vipal’s best solutions for the U.S. solid waste collection chain,” said Gabriel Fuma, Vipal’s Commercial Manager in the United States. “The main objective of the treads we exhibited is performance and duration of retreaded tyres on garbage trucks,” added Fuma, who was accompanied by the General Manager for the region, Antonio Brito, and Vipal’s Technical and Commercial representatives, Leonardo Oliveira and Amaramh Velazquez.
Seeking to ensure greater efficiency and profitability in mixed segment operations, the VM540 tread, with an exclusive Vipal exclusive design, was developed to provide high adherence on different surface types. Additionally, the design features Eye Control technology, which helps the end user identify the tread wear level.
Suitable for both paved and unpaved roads, the VM540 is designed for tyre retreading on trailer and drive axles and is also an option for off-road and regional applications. The tread’s design concept, with robust shoulders and slotted grooves that resist damage caused by twists and turns, gives the product high performance under heavy load conditions and resistance for working in stop/start operations, prevent both lateral and central damage. It also features a compound with excellent abrasion wear resistance and groove flaps in its bottom design, which provides greater resistance to aggression and fewer rocks embedded in the tread, increasing casing durability and service life.
Also featured during the event, the VT200 is a Vipal tread with cross-cut blocks to provide excellent drive power. The grooved structure is designed to minimise rocks and other objects embedded in the tread, and its characteristic design enables self-cleaning of the tread, making it a good choice for highway cargo transport. The VZY2, on the other hand, is recommended for radial tyres and mixed axles, used on mixed surfaces (road and off-road), offering excellent adherence on different types of terrain and fewer rocks embedded in the tread.
