Italian retreader Corgom has launched a multi-year investment plan that provides for the technical and technological renewal of its entire retreading process. In doing so, the company, based in Corato (BA) has chosen TRM as its technology supply partner.
TRM Chosen as Equipment Supplier
The company has already installed an Eagle Truck 2500 buffer, which the company says has already reached the project targets with an output of more than 20 tyres per hour. The first phase of the project, in addition to the buffer, saw the installation of an autoclave with 18 positions and the technological upgrade of the existing autoclave.
According to TRM, all the machines supplied are in full compliance with the Industry 4.0 requirement and therefore enjoy the tax benefits provided by the Italian Government for this type of machine.
TRM says it is now plans to install the other machines necessary to complete the process and make Corgom even more competitive on the market to respond to the new development opportunities that the circular economy is generating for the retreading market.
Corgom, founded in 1989 was established as a tyre retreading and sales company, but has since expanded to include the collection, recovery, and treatment of end-of-life tyres, becoming one of the largest Italian companies active in this sector. It is currently one of the largest Italian producers of SBR rubber granules with a quality level of End of Waste recognised in the main international reference markets.
