Galgo has, for the 9th consecutive year, earned the distinctive Empresa Socialmente Responsabile ESR (Socially Responsible Company) Award, granted by the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (Cemefi) and the Alliance for Corporate Social Responsibility (AliaRSE).
Galgo Praised for Social Responsibility Programme
Awards are given to organisations committed to engaging with and supporting social and environmental protection programmes within their community. This year was unique in that the ESR conferences and award presentations were held via live stream video, due to restrictions as a result of COVID-19.
Galgo’s ongoing commitment to operate as a socially and environmentally responsible organisation can be seen through the responsible actions they take and values they implement into their daily business practices. The company also participates in programmes to assist the community including an event where employees help plant trees in Atitalaquia Hidalgo. Additionally, Galgo manufactures a variety of SmartWay products certified by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), which indicates they are eco-friendly and help save fuel, which contributes directly to reducing the emission of greenhouse gases.
