To help regional fleets in the United States extend the life of their tyres, Goodyear is introducing three new premium spliceless UniCircle retreads.
Extended Range for North American Market
The Fuel Max RSD (Regional Service Drive) UniCircle Retread is a matching tread design to the new Fuel Max RSD drive tyre, with deep traction features for enhanced traction as the tyre wears and is SmartWay verified for fuel-efficiency.
Meanwhile, the Fuel Max RTD (Regional Traction Drive) UniCircle Retread carries a matching tread design to the recently launched Fuel Max RTD premium regional drive tyre and features an open-shoulder design that maximises traction and mileage It carries the Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake designation and is also SmartWay verified for fuel-efficiency.
Finally, the UltraGrip RTD (Regional Traction Drive) UniCircle Retread, which matches Goodyear’s all-season regional drive tyre of the same name, features an evolving open-shoulder design with biting edges and sipes, which have earned it the Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake designation for traction even at 50 percent worn.
“With spliceless UniCircle retreads, fleets can take advantage of similar new tyre technologies and operate on retread designs they have confidence in,” said Dustin Lancy, Goodyear’s commercial product marketing manager in the USA.
With an anticipated mid-2021 launch, these regional UniCircle retreads will be available in a number of popular sizes. The Fuel Max RSD drive tyre will initially launch in 295/75R22.5 (Load Range G), with additional sizes rolling out in 2022.
