The Tire Industry Association (TIA) will offer its only Certified Earthmover Tire Service (ETS) Technician training class of the year, July 11-15, 2022, in Garner, Iowa. Participants are encouraged to sign up today to ensure a spot in the five-day, 300-level certification course.
TIA Now Taking Bookings for Earthmover Tyre Training
The class is targeted at experienced off-the-road tyre and wheel-service professionals. Previous attendance in TIA’s Basic Commercial Tire Service (CTS) and Basic Earthmover Tire Service (ETS) classes are prerequisites for taking the course.
Course work will cover:
– Safety guidelines, including personal protective equipment (PPE), safe lifting and heatstroke/frostbite identification and prevention;
– Speed restrictions, dual-tyre guidelines, dual- and single-tyre matching guidelines, tyre mixing recommendations, temperature and inflation pressure, rim-to-tyre fitment, TPMS/TKPH and tyre/rim assembly weight; and
– Demounting, mounting and inflation procedures for a tubeless OTR tyre on one-piece, three-piece and five-piece rims.
