With over 200 catalogued pieces in its collection, the Memorial was designed to celebrate the 48 years of the company’s history along with the 90 years of founder Remy Möller.
A Surprising Space Next to the Factory
Located at the entrance, next to the reception desk of the administrative building, the Unique Memorial portrays the history of the company over its 48 years, from its inception to the present day. It has a catalogued collection of more than 200 pieces, including physical pieces, photos and videos, including the first invoice and the license permit, all original from the time of foundation, dated 1975. The Memorial is divided into 12 stations that portray and punctuate the different periods of the company. The history is told through the exhibition of numerous photos, catalogues, videos and products, including an extruder and a cylinder, the first machines that were acquired by the company. “Some stations have touch monitors so that visitors can select various contents they want to watch”, highlights Jandrei Luis Goldschmidt, Executive Marketing Manager, responsible for the project.
The visits are guided by an audio-guided system, which allows visitors to learn about the history along each station, and leads the visitor through a route that represents a highway. As a highlight, the Unique Memorial features a statue of the founder Remy Möller when he was 23 years old. The piece was designed by artist Henrique Plácido with a textured bronze finish. At the end of the route, a hologram shows a message from the founder on his 90th birthday.
“We are very proud of the history and trajectory of our grandfather Remy. We know it was not an easy path and how much he dedicated himself to make the business grow. The Memorial Unique is a milestone in the 90 years of the Remy vô vô and, above all, in Unique’s history, which we intend to continue walking and counting with great success”, say the CEOs Francisco Möller and Lucas Möller.
“The initiative to create a Memorial had been on the mind of the second generation of the Möller family, Remy’s children, for a few years. In early 2023”, explains Paulo Henrique Möller, one of the creators of the project. He points out that, in addition to recording milestones and facts in Unique’s history, the Memorial aims to provide visitors, customers, suppliers and employees to know in a different and interactive way every step of Unique’s history and its brands Tipler and Borex, perpetuating this success story that completes almost half a century.
